DeVal had the opportunity to host students participating in the Philadelphia Regional Video Contest

We’re passionate about STEM and education! DeVal had the awesome opportunity today to host 16 students from the Eisenhower Science and Technology Leadership Academy for the “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” Philadelphia Regional Student Video Contest. A program of the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC), “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” focuses on innovative ways to get students and their communities more educated, informed and enthused about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) careers. The team of students researched DeVal’s manufacturing capabilities, toured our facilities and learned about the different machining capabilities in the plant. Employees from DeVal and Parts Life, Inc. held demonstrations in the paint shop, CNC machines, welding department, and EAGL Lab. Students will use the footage they took to create a two minute video illustrating the all the cool things they learned about today at DeVal! Thank you to the students and dedicated faculty for spending the day with us!
