These include strict process control, traceability, risk management, and safeguards against nonconforming and counterfeit parts. The most significant difference between the standards is that organizations in any industry can use ISO 9001, whereas AS9100D is specifically designed for the aerospace sector.
In addition, Parts Life, Inc. is certified to AS9100D 8.3, the design and development clause within the AS9100D QMS. This section outlines how design and development must be managed to ensure quality from concept to completion.
